I’m a deist, not bound by religions. However, I do ascribe to Buddhism and refer to my son as my “buddha boy” because of his heart. He keeps me steady as I maneuver my ageing needs. And Dalai Lama’s words stay with me as the world and our country are in chaos. Peace is hard to come by, but it is essential to a calm and steady path. That’s my only job, to stay peaceful for those I am in contact with. It takes continued effort. I’m not giving up any time soon.
Now it’s time to show up and march for our lives. Our Nation needs our feet on the ground in peaceful protest. Be there wherever you are on April 5th. I pray for us all in solidarity

You may not always see it, but your presence in this world has left ripples far beyond what you know.
Someone still smiles at a memory you created together, still feels comforted by the kindness you once showed, and still finds courage in the words you spoke.
Someone hums a song that reminds them of you, sees beauty in the world because you pointed it out, and carries your wisdom in their heart.
Someone stands a little taller because you believed in them, walks a little lighter because you were there, and dreams bigger because you told them they could.
You matter more than you realize.

Today and every dawn, I choose peace.
Peace in letting go of what no longer serves me, in embracing what awaits.
Peace in the gentle whispers of morning light, in each quiet breath that renews.
Peace in accepting that some doors must close for others to open.
Peace in knowing that growth comes from releasing, not just holding on.
Peace in understanding that my path is uniquely mine to walk.
Peace in the spaces between what was and what will be.
I carry this wisdom in my soul: I am exactly where I need to be, learning what I need to learn, becoming who I am meant to be.
Today and every dawn, I choose peace.
