Dr. Jill Biden is the kind of role model all little girls can aspire to, in her actions and in her words. Bless her in all her future successes. We all will benefit.
Dr. Jill Biden’s Inauguration Evening Dress had flowers from all 50 States plus the US territories embroidered on it. The Delaware flower is positioned at the heart level of The First Lady, from there, all the other flowers branch out. What a lovely message from a lovely woman.
The pieces were made entirely in New York City. The Embroidery and Coat were crafted in the garment district and the dress was assembled at the inhouse studio. Each flower took approximately two-four hours to embroider. Careful placements and color selections were carefully studied for weeks. Inside of the coat, representing the lifelong calling and service of Dr. Biden as an educator is a hand embroidery on the lining with a quote from Founding Father Benjamin Franklin: “Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn.”
She became an instant mother to Joe’s 2 surviving sons after the devastating loss of his wife and daughter a few years earlier from a car accident. It took a special kind of woman to step into the role and be a bridge in their recovery. It took a special kind of man for her to fall in love with. She told her mother that she had gone on a date with a true gentleman, one that reflected her own father. And thus it began, her own road as FLOTUS.
Jill has said that she will continue teaching. In her role as First Lady, her focus will be on reuniting all families separated at the US-Mexican border. Her chief of staff is expected to monitor the efforts. On her second day as First Lady, she delivered chocolate chip cookies to the National Guard Troops and thanked them personally for the protection they gave to her family and the Capitol Inaugural guests. Appreciation and gratitude. What a difference to the last fours years!
Yes, Dr. Jill Biden Is the kind of role model all little girls can aspire to, in her actions and in her words. Bless her in all her future successes. We all will benefit.
