A few days ago, I was channel surfing and found a movie I had never seen. Santa’s Castle by L. Frank Baum. He had a few Christmas stories, and this one begins with his young son asking for a story. L. Frank Baum is attempting to write a new story. Before he has written more than his name, he is interrupted by his youngest son, Kenneth, and their dog, Dorothy. Persuaded to write about Santa Claus by Kenneth, and with the support of his butler, he spins a yarn about a “Santanapping” preventing Santa Claus from performing his annual duties and the ambition of the young ryl, Whisk, to assist in Santa Claus’s rides, who, with Kilter the pixie and Nutter the knook, has to do just that, according to Santa Claus’s emergency orders.

The movie seemed more of a television production. The message was clear. Love and kindnesses for everyone, even those who seem a bit wretched. There are companion books about the holidays too. Because it is from L. Frank Baum I wanted to share.

May the holidays be filled with hope, with joy, with peace and with Love!
I prefer to keep it simple and support community programs. This is what the holidays means to me. Family near or far, they live in our hearts.
