Fighting for Women’s rights is fighting for your own!

In 1920, the 19th Amendment cleared the way for most white and black women to vote. But there were exceptions. February 27, 1922: The 19th Amendment Was Upheld by the Supreme Court, Defending Women’s Voting Rights, On February 27, 1922, the Supreme Court unanimously dismissed a challenge to the 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, which declares that “the right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or any state on account of sex.” The female suffrage amendment was a result of 70 year’s worth of petitions, meetings and protests. A century after the 19th amendment was ratified, we are seeing a record number of women running for public office.

So, this week the women in Kansas showed up in record numbers in defiance of the recent Supreme Court decision to remove the right of abortion, sending it to the States to decide. One hundred years ago they were able to ratify their rights to vote. This week they showed their voices still matter where “women’s rights” are involved. And new federal protections were signed immediately, challenging state laws.

Today, twice as many women are running for congress than ever before. This is a fight that is for the health and welfare of our nation, the majority. Besides the 19th amendment, this is a direct effect of the abuse of the 14th Amendment, Separation of Church and State. We see it playing out in every evangelical state taking away women’s rights to choose. They feed fear, buy guns. This is also where distrust of government and alt-right from January 6th came from, opportunists. They are of dangerous mindsets, but We are of hope and of the Majority, when we show up to challenge them at the polls.

Lots will still be revealed between now and November 8th. The January 6th committee is still uncovering more seditious activities. And Congress is passing new legislation addressing those involved. As is quite evident, the “big lie” still has a following, but sentencing has shifted their focuses by using their religion as a weapon. And more dirty dealings at the states level.

We’ve got this and we have lots of work to do to regain civility.
