A shorter post today due to a busy mind. This spoke to me at a time I was feeling a bit overwhelmed by life. A Mantra! Go slow, take my time! And watch the miracles come. They do and have. A relief arrived.
The Keeper of Quiet Wisdom
My grandmother said wisdom comes softly,
not like thunder across the hills,
but like a small coal in the lodge fire
kept alive through patient hands.
The night has many teachers.
Some speak only to those who wait,
those who can hear truth moving
beneath the noise of the world.
An old prayer does not grow old.
It travels from breath to breath,
carrying the names of the people
through shadow, smoke, and dawn.
When your heart is unsure,
sit still beside your own spirit.
The ancestors have left signs there,
hidden like seeds under snow.
So honor the silence, child.
Let it guide what your eyes cannot.
The one who listens with humility
will never be without light.
