As this year’s Earth Day/Earth week ends, I put my eyes to the skies. It’s a small pivot from “hope and strong women” but important just the same.

As an Empath and now retired, I felt the increased energy in and around the earth. Instinctively I felt it was related to how “wired we are” yet disconnected to each other. This week I watched a simulation of satellites, from the first two in 1958 to 14,000 in 2025. When I retired and began my blog there were 2000 satellites in 2016, just to help with perspectives. I haven’t been imagining this and now how the world around me reacts brings up the complexities of why. These last couple of decades have changed everything we held sacred. Out with the old and in with the new, even if the new wasn’t as kind as we were led to believe. I’ve spent much of my time learning techniques to help calm my spirit, including finding meditation that works for me. I do reiki often and my favorite practice is music that promotes healing, as in Sound Baths. And of course, avoiding the culprit of being wired in. Not much we can do about it now, although what goes up does eventually come down. A scientific experiment that is under investigation and we are the witness to it by looking up. What’s next?
The types of satellites and the countries of origin have made are skies very crowded. And then there’s space debris. Even our high atmosphere is polluted.
This visual simulation takes you on a journey from 1957—when Sputnik became the first human-made object in orbit—all the way to 2025. Watch how the number of satellites has increased year by year, from the early days of space exploration to the rise of mega-constellations and private space ventures.

Our planet is completely inside this grid. We are living inside the Matrix. What you feel is real. We are all wired into it. Our escape is in Nature without devices, unplugged. It’s why it’s even more important than ever to protect what we have now. We don’t know how long it will last. I give huge Kudos to those around the planet who are on missions to plant trees, restore forests and wetlands, rivers and streams in their own communities. Here is a link to the top six tree planters on the planet. There are many others. Their actions show what happened when balance was restored.

And blessed be our artists and musicians who inspire hope. And media sources who bring us what and who and where positive changes are happening. And find your calm among the energies we can’t see. Take pause when you feel “off” for no apparent reasons. The pause is the moment of calm in acknowledging it. The skies above us have lots to share. Earth needs your love.
