A follow up to this weekend’s No Kings March and we were joined by numerous countries who held their own in solidarity. I waited to post today to see if any other insights come through about yesterday’s seven million and counting who showed up. Pictures say a thousand words and yet the right news rags deflate the numbers by showing scantly populated areas. I am very glad that it was a 7 million strong peaceful march of left, right and the middle. We are all disgusted by the daily assaults and misappropriations of our tax dollars.

It started by the blow -up cartoon characters showing up at ICE facilities, peaceful and non-threatening and staying behind their “lines.” ICE didn’t know what to do although doing nothing was the intent of the protesters. And it spread. Each day more showed up in more creative ways, like playing instruments, and a man on his unicycle, a Portland regular. Other places large and small had lots of “characters” showing up. The on-line comments came straight from “maga” who mocked it even though the point is MOCKING them all. They are why we mock; glad they show their twisted tales! Points Made this an epic day and we’ll see what the mid-terms bring. The PEOPLE have risen and know they do have more power together.

She Rises from Ash and Memory

She does not cry where the world can see—

her grief is stitched into her silence,

into the long strands of her hair

that carry the wind of every woman

who came before.

She has walked through fire,

not once—

but again and again,

each step burning names into her bones,

each loss carved into her breath.

But look—

she still walks.

Wrapped in white,

with butterflies blooming from her dress,

she does not forget—

she transforms.

Every sorrow becomes a wing.

Every goodbye, a path forward.

She does not need to speak

for the earth remembers her pain

and the sky lifts her onward.

This is her beauty—

not in untouched joy,

but in the quiet power

of healing anyway.

As a side-note, I’m doing the best I can to keep up on my weekly posts. Sometimes the inspiration alludes me. There is just too much coming at us all the time. I do go to my “bubble” when life overwhelmes the senses. Hang with me. Life is changing fast for everyone.
